MONDAY:   JV-RED plays at HOME against Bryan Adams at 5:00

WEDNESDAY:  Regular practice day for all 3 teams


THURSDAY:   VARSITY will be playing in the South Grand Prairie Tournament and our game is at 2:15 against Timbercreek. Our game will actually be played at Grand Prairie High School (where we scrimmaged a few weeks ago).  We will leave the school by noon because they want team there 45 minutes before game time in case there is a chance to start early.


                          JV-BLACK will be playing in the Duncanville Tournament and our game is at 5:15 against Mesquite Poteet.  The bus will be leaving at 3:30 just in case we get into some traffic.

      
                          JV-RED will have a short practice after school with Coach Rogers.


FRIDAY:   VARSITY will be playing 2 games today with the first one being at 12:00 against Nimitz and the second one at 4:30 against Grand Prairie.  Both games will be played at Grand Praire High School again.
We will be leaving school at 10:00 and you will get out of class after 1st period.


                    JV-BLACK  will be playing in Duncanville again.  Since this is a bracket tournament the time and opponent is TBA.


                    JV-RED will be playing at home against Jesuit at 6:00.  You will need to be at the field by 4:30 to start getting ready.


SATURDAY:  VARSITY will be playing at 9:00 AM against Southmoore, OK at South Grand Prairie's field.  We will then travel over to Grand Prairie's field for our last game against Irving at 1:30.  We will leave the school bright and early Saturday morning at 7:45.


                     JV-BLACK will be at Duncanville.  Time and opponent is TBA


                    JV-RED will travel to Rowlett for a double header beginning at 10:00 AM.  The bus will be leaving the school no later than 8:45.

MONDAY

JV-RED ------ You will be playing Bryan Adams at home beginning at 5:00.  Start taking cuts in the cage and getting loose around 3:45.


JV-BLACK and VARSITY ----- we will meet shortly and throw/take some fly balls and ground balls in the outfield/and hit in the cages when the JV-RED is finished taking their cuts in the cage.

VARSITY ---- we will have 2 games tomorrow at Ft. Worth Brewer High School.  Our first game is at 11:00 AM against Flower Mound JV and our second game is at 4:00 against Ft. Worth Brewer.  Bring plenty of items to snack on because we will be there for a long time.  We will be wearing gray pants, black shirts, and black hats.  Our bus will be leaving at 8:30.

Varsity ---- GREAT DAY TODADY!!! Tomorrow we will be playing against Greenville at 1:30 at Keller Timbercreek High School.  You will get out of class at 11:00 and the bus will be leaving at 11:15.  We will be wearing White pants/Red Shirt/Red and white hat.  Dress warm as it will be much cooler than yesterday with the high temperature around 58 degrees.




JV teams will practice after school with coach Brown and coach Rogers.

MARUUCHI CAT 33" BAT

I don't know if any of you have this bat or not but if you it was announced today that it is banned from all high school competion.  The NCAA has banned the bat and now the high school federation has banned it as well.  This is for the 33" MARUUCHI CAT ONLY

The Time is Here!

Tonight both JV-Black and Varsity will open the season at home against HSAA.  JV-Black will start at 5:00 and the Varsity will start after the JV game.  Varsity will be wearing all white with the red and white hat.



On Thursday the Varsity will begin tournament at Denton with the first game beginning at 11:00.  The boys will be getting out of class by 9:15 and we will pull out of the parking lot no later than 9:25.


Also, the JV-Black will start tournament play at the North Forney tournament.  Their game times have changed.  They will now play their first game at 11:00 on Thursday and the second game at 1:30 so they will be let out of class at 9:15 just like the varsity and their bus will leave at 9:30.


All busses for away games will leave from the cafeteria side of the high school.

MONDAY 2-20-2012

JV RED  Tomorrow (Monday 2-20-2012) you will have your first regular game of the season against Mesquite Horn at 5:00.  You need to be at the field by 3:45 to start taking cuts in the batting cage.


JV BLACK  Because coach Brown and myself have inservice tomorrow, and the JV Red has a game, you will not practice.

VARSITY  We will try to do a little practice starting around 2:30.  I will unlock the shed at lunch and coach Brown and myself should be there around 2:30-3:00. We will try do some defense until about 3:30 and then I will have to get the field ready for the JV Red game. 

!!!!!UPDATE!!!!! (2/18/2012)

There will NO JV games today! Our field is under water so stay at home and stay warm. VARSITY ---- I will know around 8:45 about about our game. Grand Prairie has the tarp on the field and he is going out now to check it out. So plan on being here around 8:15.

TOMORROW (SATURDAY VS. GP & MANSFIELD)

As of now all games are on for tomorrow.  There is a good chance that the Varsity will play because Grand Prarie has a tarp and their coach just texted me saying they have the field covered.  There is a chance however that it could be delayed so stay tuned.  JV...I am going to be at the field around 7:00-7:30 in the morning to check it out and see if it will be playable.  If it isn't I will post it here and also get coach Brown to send everyone a text.

Talked with the coach from Grand Prairie and the VARSITY scrimmage is going to start at 10:00 on Saturday instead of 11:00 and our second game will begin at 12:00. JV scrimmages are still at the same time as on the schedule. I will post our practice plan for tomorrow (THURSDAY) in the morning.

Remember that you need to be at the field by 10:00 to start taking some cuts in the cages. 

Pitchers:  You will go 2 innings each if possible and possibly 3 depending on how many pitches you have thrown.

Bring plenty of warm clothing because it will be COLD!  Have fun and play hard!


VARSITY---SCRIMMAGE @ FRISCO CENTENNIAL  --  11:00

We are wearing red jerseys/gray pants/ red hats. 

The bus will be leaving at 9:45 by the cafeteria so you need to be there at 9:30. 

Pitchers:  be ready to go 2 innings today.  Not everyone will pitch but some of you may be used in relief if anybody struggles. 

Be sure to bring plenty of warm clothing since the temperature may not even reach 40 degrees.  If you want to wear a beanie/ear muffs under your hat/helmet then that is fine by me because I will probably be wearing mine as well.

Friday - 2/10/2012

Schedule for today: JV-Red vs. Colleyville Heritage at 5:00
       --You need to start taking cuts in the cage as soon as you get out to the field after 6th period.
       --Dress warm because it will be cold and we will play until around 8:00.

4:10 - move your stuff out of the dugout so JV-Red has enough room

***Pitchers will throw a bullpen to 5 "ghost batters" working in different counts from 4:15-5:00.


##Saturday--JV-Black will play Frisco Centennial at HOME beginning at 11:00. You need to be there by 10:00 to take cuts in the cage.


##Saturday--Varsity will travel to Frisco Centennial and the bus will leave at 9:45 from the area by the cafeteria. We will start at 11:00 and should be finished by 4:00 or earlier.  Dress warm because the high temperature for the day is only supposed to around 38-42 degrees.
