PLAYOFF SIDE NOTE...

I forgot to mention that jersey colors were decided at the meeting the other day in order to create less confusion.

Thursday we will wear black jersey/black hat (pant color is TBA)

Friday we will wear all white/red hat

Saturday we will wear black jersey/black hat (pant color is TBA)

PLAYOFF TIME!!

Here is the schedule for our upcoming bi-district round of the playoffs against Mckinney Boyd:


THURSDAY:  LHHS @ MCKINNEY BOYD HIGH SCHOOL -- 8:00

FRIDAY:  MCKINNEY BOYD @ LHHS -- 8:00

SATURDAY(IF NEEDED): LHHS @ MCKINNEY BOYD -- 12:00


***I will let you know what time the bus will leave for the game on Thursday by tomorrow.

SATURDAY if Needed...

If we have to play a tiebreaker game on Saturday against White then we will play at Lewisville High School at 11:00am.

Correction to Monday

I apparently looked at the old schedule and we do have athletics today so the Varsity and JV Black will practice until 4:30 today. TUESDAY---NO PRACTICE WEDNESDAY---practice until 4:30 THURSDAY---practice until 5:30 FRIDAY--- JV-BLACK vs. Richardson 5:00 VARSITY vs. Richardson 7:00 ---- Senior Night SATURDAY---possible tie breaker game against W.T. White. Site and time TBD.

MONDAY

Because of the schedule for after TAKS testing we will not have 7th period tomorrow therefor we will not practice tomorrow. Everyone will have the day off. We will try to do something on Tuesday since we will have 7th period athletics.

WEATHER UPDATE

I am going to go out to the field during my lunch and check on it.  I should know more by 1:30-2:00.

JV-RED

JV-Red----your season is now over.  I saw a lot of good things from you guys even though the record wasn't good.  I wasn't worried about your record.  I was wanting to see growth and development and I saw that.  Now, I need to get your uniforms back ASAP (jersey and pants-if you got pants).  You guys that play football will need to give your stuff either today or tomorrow because you are to be back in football offseason by tomorrow or Thursday.  Those of you not in football will remain with us until 4:10 every day and you will be expected to continue working out with the JV-Black and Varsity until it is time for you to be dismissed.  If you have any questions let me know.

JV-BLACK/VARSITY -- MONDAY 4-16-2012

JV BLACK  and  VARSITY --- we will practice and should be finished up around 5:15-5:30.


3:25 -- stretch/throw
3:40-5:00 -- intrasquad (take cuts in the cage when you aren't in the game)

JV RED -- MONDAY (4-16-2012)

JV-RED --- you have a game AT Colleyville Heritage.  Game time is 6:00.  The bus will be leaving at 3:45.

THURSDAY-SATURDAY

Today ---- we will have regular practice until around 5:30.



FRIDAY:  VARSITY- plays Sunset at Reverchon Park at 7:00.  We will leave at 5:45.

                  Both JV teams will have practice.



SATURDAY:  

JV-RED ---- you will be playing at Mckinney Boyd at 10:00 and 12:00.  The bus leaves at 8:30



JV-BLACK ---- you will play Berkner at 11:00 and need to be at the field by 10:00.



VARSITY ---- we will play Berkner after the JV-BLACK game and it should start around 1:00.  Be at the field by 11:45.

TUESDAY

JV-RED---you are playing at Burleson Centennial Today at 6:00. The bus will be leaving at 3:30. JV-BLACK---you will have practice with coach Brown until 4:30 today. VARSITY---we are playing at W. T. White today at 5:00. Our bus will leave at 3:45.

VARSITY

I hope you have all had a good weekend. Tomorrow (MONDAY) we need to practice even if we just hit in the cage so we will start at NOON and go until around 2:00. I know it is raining now so I will keep you posted about tomorrow. We need to start going over W.T. White because they are now 5-3 in district and have their starters back that they were missing when we played them the first time. Also, Sunset has now started making a push and playing really good baseball and we have them on Friday and then play Berkner on Saturday. We need 10 wins to comfortably assure us a spot in the playoffs and we currently have 7. Let's get to 10 by the end of this week! Hudson will pitch against W.T. White.

THURSDAY

VARSITY-----We play Samuell at 7:00 at Pleasant Grove stadium.  We will be leaving at 5:30.  Early hitting will start at 4:45.  We will wear gray pants, red jersey, and red hat.



JV BLACK AND RED------You will have practice until 5:00 tomorrow.  We will hit in the cage and do some defensive situations.

WEDNESDAY

JV RED----your game is up in the air at the moment. I don't know I'd our field will dry out quick enough for your game since it has rained so late in the afternoon/evening. JV BLACK----there will be no game against Richardson for you guys. That is RISD policy about not making up sub varsity games if they get cancelled. VARSITY----we will play Richardson tomorrow at 6:00. The bus will leave at 4:45. Early hitting will start at 4:00. We will still wear white pants, black jersey, and black hat. Reed is still the scheduled starting pitcher. Let's get after them tomorrow and end the first half of district 6-1!

UPDATE

Varsity game has been cancelled. We will make it up tomorrow at 6:00. There will be NO JV game tomorrow.

The JV BLACK game has been CANCELLED for today. A decision will be made about the VARSITY game by 5:00. Stay tuned!
